Balkan Venture Forum 2012

U Makedoniji se 18. i 19. aprila 2012. godine održava Balkan Venture Forum, koji će okupiti preduzetnike iz regiona i omogućiti im da svoje projekte predstave grupi međunarodnih investitora. Lokacija je Metropolis Arena u Skoplju, a komanije koje žele da predstave svoje projekte mogu da se prijave do 31. marta 2012. godine.
Opportunities
- Free event registration for entrepreneurs/innovators that are selected to pitch to investors at the BkVF ;
- The top 25% of entrepreneurs/innovators from the BkVF Company Pitching Competition qualify for the final event – the European Venture Summit, and compete for an award of € 90,000;
- Involvement in the Europe Unlimited network, where 50% of companies participating in its pitching competitions have successfully raised €1.5 billion in funding (confirmed by independent study by Ernst & Young);
- Entrepreneurs/innovators taking part in the competition receive coaching and mentoring aimed to increase their investor readiness;
- Contestants participate in 1-on-1 matchmaking meetings with investors.
Notes
- 32-48 companies from the region will be selected for the pitching competition;
- Deadline for application is 31.03.2012;
- The selected companies will receive a dry-run coaching session on 18 April 2012;
- Each selected company will have 8 minutes to present using visual means, after which there will be 7 minutes for questions from the investors;

Location
Skopje is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Macedonia with about a third of the total population. It is the country’s political, cultural, economic, and academic centre.
Skopje is located on the upper course of the Vardar River and is located on a major north-south Balkan route between Belgrade and Athens. It is a center for metal-processing, chemical, timber, textile, leather, and printing industries. Industrial development of the city has been accompanied by development of the trade, logistics, and banking sectors, as well as an emphasis on the fields of culture and sport. According to the 2006 official estimate, it has 668,518 inhabitants.
